If your question isn't here, call us — we answer our phones during business hours and return voicemails same-day.
Palm Wound Care is a specialist mobile wound practice based in Fort Lauderdale. We deliver advanced wound care to private homes, condos, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities across Broward County — and we're actively expanding into Miami-Dade and Palm Beach.
Palm Wound Care is privately held and operated by Dan Orlov as part of the Orlov Capital network of wound-care practices — which also includes NYC Wound Care and Gateway Wound Care. We are not a private-equity roll-up.
Visits are delivered by licensed wound-care specialists with physician collaboration. You see the same small team each time — not a rotating set of aides.
For most of Broward County, the first visit happens within 48 hours of referral or intake call. Complex cases sometimes happen same-day.
Phase 1 covers Broward County — Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pompano Beach, Plantation, Coral Springs, Deerfield Beach, Weston, and neighboring cities. See our Service Area page for the full list, or call to check a specific zip.
Yes. We work inside ALFs, memory-care units, and skilled nursing facilities across Broward. We coordinate with facility nursing staff and leave a clear care plan after every visit.
We accept most major commercial insurance plans and work with many Medicare and Medicare Advantage products. We verify coverage before the first visit so there are no billing surprises.
Not strictly — patients, caregivers, and providers can all start the process. If your plan requires a referral, we'll tell you during the intake call and help coordinate with your PCP.
No. We tell you what's covered and what's not before we arrive, and we don't perform visits that would result in unexpected charges without your consent.
Most visits run 45–75 minutes depending on wound complexity, dressing change, and whether debridement is needed. The first visit is usually longer because of the full assessment.
Absolutely — we encourage it. Our clinicians coach the family or caregiver on wrap technique, daily checks, and when to call us, so everyone's on the same page.
Yes. We bring a full kit of dressings, instruments, and PPE to every visit. For NPWT, we coordinate supplies with the DME vendor.
